I'm S. I'm a 26 year old mother to a my beautiful baby girl Nani (her nickname) who just turned 1, and a Navy wife to my husband N of 3 years. We moved away from home once hubby got his duty station and I've had tons of time on my hands (well, not really until I got pregnant). We found out we were pregnant with our first baby in October of 2009. We were definitely ecstatic and could not wait to welcome our new bundle of joy into our home! The months seemed to go by so slowly and with each passing day we grew more anxious to meet her. Especially since we would be facing our first deployment shortly after her birth. I went on pregnancy disability when I was around 5 months pregnant and soon came to realize that I had plenty of time on my hands. I decided to get in tune with my creative side. I fished out my old knitting and crocheting supplies, blew of the dust, and started to look up patterns to start creating! One thing lead to another and I just wanted to broaden my creativity... it went from knitting/crocheting to wanting to sew, learn photography, and even learn to cook/bake!
Once Nani was born, the days flew by so quick. Of course as new parents, we were unsure of ourselves for a while, but we soon fell into the routine of being parents and things began to come naturally for us. The time I thought I had slipped through my fingers... and once hubby left for deployment, it felt like there wasn't enough time in a day for anything! But regardless, even if my projects seemed to take longer than I wanted to, I was still determined to learn how to do everything! And now, a year later, I am finally fulfilling my need to create!
This blog is basically here for me to share my creations with you, as well as my story. And... for me to share anything I found that I loved making so that you can make it yourself too (at least, if you want to)!
